1. Acceptance of These Terms

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern access to and use of BugHunter ("BugHunter", "we", "us", or "our"), operated by [Full legal name or business name].

By accessing or using BugHunter, you agree to these Terms and the applicable Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

If you use BugHunter on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to accept these Terms for that organization.

2. Description of the Service

BugHunter is a website scanning tool designed to help identify potential technical issues and provide AI-assisted explanations and recommendations.

Depending on the available features, the service may include:

  • Browser-based website scanning.
  • Detection of certain JavaScript errors and failed requests.
  • Checks for selected broken links, images, and form issues.
  • AI-assisted analysis of supported findings.
  • Display of scan results and related technical details.

Features may change as BugHunter is developed. We do not promise that every feature will always be available or that every type of issue can be detected.

3. Eligibility and Accounts

You must be legally permitted to use the service under the laws applicable to you. If you are under the age required to enter into a binding agreement in your jurisdiction, you may use the service only where legally permitted and with any required authorization.

If account features are introduced, you are responsible for providing accurate information, protecting your credentials, and activities performed through your account, subject to applicable law.

4. Website Scanning Authorization

You may scan only websites, applications, and systems that you own or are explicitly authorized to test.

Before starting a scan, you must:

  • Obtain permission from the website or system owner where required.
  • Comply with the owner's rules, scope, and testing restrictions.
  • Use test accounts and non-sensitive data where possible.
  • Ensure that your scan does not violate applicable law or another party's rights.

Submitting a URL does not grant you permission to access, probe, or test that website. You are responsible for confirming authorization before scanning.

5. Acceptable Use and Prohibited Activities

You must not use BugHunter to:

  • Scan systems without authorization.
  • Attempt unauthorized access, privilege escalation, or account compromise.
  • Disrupt services, overload systems, or interfere with another user's access.
  • Collect, expose, or misuse another person's confidential or personal information.
  • Bypass access controls or use stolen credentials.
  • Conduct unlawful surveillance, fraud, harassment, or other illegal activities.
  • Upload malicious content or attempt to compromise BugHunter itself.
  • Reverse engineer or misuse the service in ways prohibited by applicable law.
  • Use the service in violation of third-party terms or legal restrictions.

We may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect the service, users, third parties, or comply with legal obligations.

6. Protected Websites and Credentials

If protected-site scanning is available, you may submit login details only for accounts you are authorized to use for the requested test.

You are responsible for ensuring that submitted credentials are appropriate for the test. Use dedicated test accounts with the minimum permissions necessary. Avoid submitting production administrator credentials or credentials reused on other services.

Credentials may be transmitted to the configured scan backend to perform authentication. Their actual handling depends on the implementation. Do not assume that credentials are never logged, stored, or exposed unless the deployed system has been verified.

7. AI-Generated Analysis and Recommendations

BugHunter may use AI models to interpret scan findings, explain potential causes and impacts, or suggest possible remedies.

AI-generated output can be incorrect, incomplete, outdated, or irrelevant to your particular system. A reported issue does not necessarily establish that a vulnerability exists, and an absence of findings does not establish that a website is secure.

You must independently verify findings and review suggested changes before applying them. Test changes in a safe environment and maintain appropriate backups. Do not rely on BugHunter as the sole basis for security, compliance, or production deployment decisions.

8. Submitted Information and Privacy

You retain any rights you have in content you submit, subject to rights needed to process it to provide the service.

You are responsible for ensuring that you have the necessary rights and permissions to submit URLs, scan information, and other content.

Information may be processed as described in the Privacy Policy. Do not submit unnecessary personal information, confidential material, passwords, or secret keys.

9. Availability and Changes to the Service

We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue all or part of BugHunter for maintenance, security, operational, legal, or development reasons, subject to any obligations imposed by applicable law.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, compatibility with every website, or completion of every scan. Website changes, access restrictions, network failures, and other external factors may affect results.

10. Intellectual Property

Except for content belonging to users or third parties, the BugHunter website, branding, original interface, and service materials are owned by or licensed to the operator and are protected by applicable laws.

Subject to these Terms, you may use the service for its intended lawful purpose. These Terms do not transfer ownership of BugHunter's intellectual property.

You must not use BugHunter branding or represent yourself as the operator without permission.

11. Third-Party Services and Websites

BugHunter may rely on hosting infrastructure, browser automation, AI models, or other third-party services. Those services may be subject to separate terms and privacy practices.

BugHunter may also scan websites operated by others. We do not control those websites and are not responsible for their content, availability, or practices.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the extent permitted by applicable law, BugHunter is provided on an "as available" and "as is" basis, without warranties that cannot be excluded by law.

We do not guarantee that the service will identify all bugs, detect every security vulnerability, provide error-free results, or meet every user's particular requirements.

Nothing in these Terms excludes any statutory warranty, consumer protection, or other right that cannot legally be excluded.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses arising from use of the service, including loss of profits, business interruption, or loss of data, where such exclusions are legally permitted.

To the extent permitted by law, the operator is not responsible for decisions made solely on the basis of unverified scan results or AI-generated recommendations.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by applicable law, including liability that cannot lawfully be disclaimed.

14. Responsibility for Misuse

You are responsible for your use of BugHunter and for ensuring that your scanning activities are lawful and authorized.

Where permitted by applicable law, you may be responsible for losses or claims caused by your unlawful use of the service or violation of these Terms. This provision does not remove rights or remedies that cannot legally be restricted.

15. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary because of a material breach of these Terms, suspected abuse, security risks, legal requirements, or discontinuation of the service.

You may stop using BugHunter at any time. Any provisions that by their nature should continue after termination will remain effective to the extent permitted by law.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms as BugHunter develops or legal requirements change. The latest version should display its effective date.

Where required by applicable law, we will provide notice or obtain consent before changes take effect. Continued use after an effective change may constitute acceptance only where legally valid.

17. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are subject to the laws of [insert applicable country and jurisdiction], without excluding mandatory protections that apply to you under relevant law.

Disputes will be handled by the courts or other competent dispute-resolution bodies with jurisdiction under applicable law. Nothing in this section removes a consumer's mandatory legal rights.

18. Legal Notices and Grievances

For legal notices, terms-related questions, or grievances, use the operator's official channel below. A separate Contact page is not required, but the published channel must be monitored and suitable for any applicable legal requirements.

  • Operator: [Full legal name or business name]
  • Legal or grievance email: [Official monitored email]
  • Business address, if required: [Official address]

19. Severability and Entire Agreement

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.

These Terms and the applicable Privacy Policy form the agreement governing use of BugHunter, together with any additional terms clearly presented for particular features.
